چکیده
High fertilizer application and over-irrigation in sugarcane systems can cause considerable N2O emissions. Optimized water-fertilization management which reduces emissions, while maintaining biomass, is crucial, but may affect nitrogen fixation by sugarcane. This study evaluated the combined effect of on biomass field trials southern China. Treatments included drip spray irrigation, with three levels (0% (low), 50% (medium), 100% (high)) irrigation fertilizer. A rain-fed crop (no or fertilizer) was as control. The results showed that (1) medium water high fertilization increased biomass. optimum combination elongation stage fertilization, best choice for maturity stage. (2) For (δ15N) content, seedling tillering stages. fertilization. (3) soil (δ15N content), proved optimal seedling, tillering, (4) In stage, content) found to be strongly correlated leaf area index, water, temperature, electrical conductivity. Soil photosynthesis temperature. conclusion, appears most suitable planting, treatment stages water-high water-medium water-fertilizer combinations identified here provide a scientific basis optimization China other regions similar environments.

Determination of kinetic parameters for potassium uptake by wheat at different growth stages
Root influx parameters (Vmax and Km) of wheat (Triticum aestivum var. HD-2285) were determined at different stages of crop growth, viz. CRIS-Crown Root Initiation Stage, MTS-Maximum Tillering Stage, FLS-Flag Leaf Stage and DFS-Dough Formation Stage. Wheat was grown in sand medium with Hoagland nutrient solution (all nutrients except potassium). Plants were taken out from sand culture at 22, 41,...
متن کاملNitrogen Fixation Associated with Sugarcane
Nitrogen fixation associated with sugarcane was monitored ushg acetylene reducti,on tests and bacteriological techniques. Soil cores and trash from cane fields showed acetylene reducing activity. This activity was usually low in association with sandy soils. Where high activity was detected in soil cores it correlat~d with the wet weight of roots in each core. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria resemblin...
متن کاملeffect of saline water and nitrogen application management at different growth stages on wheat yield
nitrogen is the primary nutrient that shows deficiency in saline areas, therefore, proper nitrogen fertilizer management is one of the strategies to achieve higher wheat grain yield. a field experiments in a saline soil was performed on wheat with a factorial arrangement in randomized complete block design with four replications, in rostagh area, 25 km from yazd. the first factor was nitrogen ...
متن کاملYield and Yield Components of Rapeseed as Influenced by Water Stress at Different Growth Stages and Nitrogen Levels
Irrigated rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) cultivation is currently expanding in rotation with winter cereals in Iran where its reproductive growth is often exposed to water deficit in many parts, particularly in the south. A two growing seasons (2006-2008) field experiment was conducted at the Experimental Research Center, Shiraz University to study the effects of water stress at different growth ...
متن کاملMaize (Zea mays L.) Response to Nitrogen Fertilizer under Drought Stress at Vegetative and Reproductive Stages
In the sub-tropics, water and nitrogen are the most important factors limiting the grain yield of maize. The effect of nitrogen (N) rates and drought stress at different growth stages of maize were investigated. Nitrogen treatments consisted of 100, 150, and 200 kgN.ha-1 from the urea source while water stress treatments were composed of irrigation-off since the early 10-leaf stage to emergenc...
